Our graphics department has over 16 years of experience working with artists and reproducing artwork. From image capture to the final print, we are highly skilled at scanning and matching color back to the original artwork.
There are factors in every step of the process that affect the color of the final print reproduction of your artwork. From the scanner, camera, or computer screen to the printer, ink, and paper choice. Every piece of the process affects the final output. Although we strive to match the original to the best of our ability, we are still constrained to the limitations of the color gamut of our printers and there are some colors that just aren't obtainable in print. The colors that we see most frequently fall outside of the color gamut available tend to be bright/hot colors; rich blues, bright reds, pinks, oranges, and yellows.
We highly recommend ordering a small sample on the material you are interested in prior to ordering any large prints or quantities. Even if you already know that you want to have us color correct to match your original, we require that you order a sample first. Each customer qualifies for one free sample, all additional samples are $5 each. After seeing the sample(s) and comparing to your original, if you choose to go forward with color correction services, your $5 cost for the initial samples will be applied toward the color correction fee.
Our color correction services are $75/hr with a minimum of 15 min ($18.75). Depending on the size of your artwork and the ease of which we anticipate the corrections needed to match your original, we may recommend that it would be more cost efficient to have us re-scan your artwork. Our graphics services are not limited to color correction. From cleaning up dust, hairs and spots, changing colors, and removing/adding signatures to greeting card or postcard layout and design, We are happy to help you with any of your graphics needs.
